A lifelong athlete and natural leader, John has always been working within the balance of self betterment and uplifting others. A stressful career in corporate America as a New York City based television producer and the advice of his mom led him to his first experiences with yoga. Over time, the physical challenge of asana gave way to something more, a calling to leave the structure and safety of the nine-to-five and New York City behind to pursue a life of service towards others and a desire to live in conscious communities while seeing other parts the world.
John's intention to expand his students through yoga is backed by over a decade of practice and training in various types of yoga, leadership and nutrition.

By drawing on his experiences in athletics, corporate leadership, animal rescue and travel, John's goal is to unveil the strength and power inside of each of his students to live their best life. In order to do this, he strives to teach asana practices that are inclusive to all and challenging for many, that push the practitioner to go inward for self-discipline and self-realization through all of the eight limbs. John's classes are said to be the perfect blend of challenging, accessible and above all FUN!
John's greatest joy is teaching and inspiring his students who in turn teach and inspire him! For self-realization is a journey that we take with each breath, John often invites his students at the end of their practice that if that feel good they should take it, and if possible, share it.
When not at the studio or in his hammock reading you can most likely find him eating vegan tacos at the beach in San Diego, with his two rescue dogs Theo and Lola.
